EPOMS journey to achieve its vision to be a full-fledged operations and maintenance services provider for oil and gas facilities is been supported through an initiative to develop local technical capabilities that is recognized by Business, Technology and Education Council (BTEC). BTEC Program was established in 1983 in the United Kingdom (UK), offering customized engineering technician program in oil and gas operations. This program is also a work related qualification suitable for a wide range of students as they provide a practical, real-world approach to learning alongside a theoretical background.

EPOMS, in collaboration with Tun AhmadShah (TAS) Institute of Oil and Gas has embarked on a customized operations technician training program in oil and gas operations. Under this arrangement, we will handpick talents across the country to be trained with TAS Institute of Oil and Gas in various specialized and relevant disciplines, at the end of which the very best of them may be employed into EPOMS.
This strategic arrangement would be our primary vehicle in developing our capacity and capability in providing the best for our clients, apart from creating job opportunities for local talents. This is also a demonstration of our commitment in growing our own timber and not leaving it up to market forces to determine the quality of our people.
Throughout the month of October 2013 we embarked on our very first nation-wide assessment and selection drive covering every single state in Malaysia, leaving no stones unturned. Out of 300 hopeful aspirants, 51 candidates, the crème de la crème of the talent pool, were handpicked to undergo an intensive and highly specialized training tailored to meet the demands of the oil and gas industry.
Recently 51 local Malaysians sponsored by EPOMS have successfully completed their training program with a certified BTEC Level 2 competency in their core discipline in the following discipline:
Electrical Engineering
Instrument Engineering
Mechanical Operation
Process Engineering
This marked a significant milestone for EPOMS in its journey to use skilled and competent workforce to deliver its services.
Cendor Phase 2

EPOMS has secured in July 2013, a 10 years Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Services contract with Petrofac Malaysia Limited (PML) for Cendor Phase 2 Development Project, PM304. The provision of O&M services cover a Floating Processing, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility and wellhead platforms at Cendor Field located east coast of Peninsula Malaysia.
